 Hey guys!

As most of you know I will be going on the World Race: Gap Year September of 2020. My team and I will be traveling to four different countries: Eswatini, South Africa, Ethiopia, and Cambodia to spread the love of Christ!

This year has been crazy to say the least, and the past months have been a whirlwind of change for the world as a whole. With the Corona Virus pandemic at the forefront of all our minds, I wanted to take a moment and answer some questions as to how this will affect my team’s missionary work in the future.

First off, my advisors for the race and the World Race organization are very confident that we will launch this year! However, there have been some minor changes made. My training camp has been moved from July to September, and we will officially launch a couple weeks later than expected, on September 16. As the future is so uncertain, those are all the changes that have been made at the moment.

And if you’re anything like me, and have a million questions that start with “what if” here is just a little bit of comfort. IF the Gap Year has to be cancelled, there are some different options. One, I can pick to go on the gap year at a different time, let’s say 2021 instead of 2020 when the circumstances allow. Or second, I can request refunds and would be able to give back the donations given to me thus far. Now the chances of this happening are super slim, but it does give some comfort in the midst of all this uncertainty.

You guys, God is so good. And no matter how hard, and frustrating, and uncertain the times are right now, I firmly believe that any changes that are made are going to glorify Him. And that is all that we can hope for! I am praying that everyone reading this is safe and healthy, and doesn’t go stir crazy in quarantine 🙂

All in Him,

Delaney
